The Wimbledon Championships 2012

Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is generally considered to be the most prestigious. It has been held at the All England Club in Wimbledon, London SW19 since 1877. It is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments and the only one still played on the game's original and most challenging surface, grass, which gave the game of "lawn tennis" its name.

The tournament takes place over two weeks in late June and early July, finishing with the ladies' and men's singles finals, scheduled respectively for the second Saturday and Sunday. Each year, five major events are contested, as well as four junior events and four invitational events.

The hard court Australian Open and clay court French Open precede Wimbledon in the calendar year. The hard court US Open follows. For men, the grass court Queen's Club Championships, also in London, and the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Germany are popular warm up tournaments for Wimbledon. For women, there are warm-up tournaments in Birmingham and Eastbourne.

Wimbledon Debenture Tickets 2011

The All England Lawn Tennis Club issues Centre Court and No.1 Court Wimbledon Debentures to raise funds for capital expenditure. For example the construction work on the Centre Court retractable roof has been financed this way, ensuring uninterrupted play throughout the Championships.

The Debenture seating is in the best locations on both courts and offers the finest views of the play. There is no restriction in buying and selling Wimbledon Debenture tickets, unlike Wimbledon public ballot tickets which are non-transferable. This allows us to offer debenture tickets to our clients on each day of the Championships - 100% reliable and guaranteed.
